- As of 1700 this evening, Tower/Ladder 28 is now officially OOS Long Term. This truck served our Fireman well on many calls since 2003, however, due to rising cost's of maintenance and due to general age of the rig, and the changing dynamics of our First due area and community, it is going to be replaced. - Receiving a Recording when Calling 9-1-1? – Do Not Hang Up Occasionally, usually during severe storms with wide-spread power outages, more 9-1-1 calls are made than can be answered. During these times, after a few rings the caller will receive a recorded message letting the caller know that they have dialed 9-1-1 and all telecommunicators are busy. - On Wednesday December 14 at 1542 hours the Parkesburg, Pomeroy and Atglen Fire Companies were dispatched to 105 Chestnut St for a dwelling. Engine, Tower, and Ambulance 28 went responding minutes after dispatched and was advised that it was unknown what was on fire in the house. Rescue, Squad and Traffic 28 responded shortly thereafter. Live Fire Training with Station 29

- On Saturday, November 19th, a crew from Station 28 conducted joint training with Station 29. The night time live burns were conducted at the WCFTC. Crews deployed hoselines and practiced in fire suppression techniques throughout the night. Rescue Training with Station 31

- For the second week in a row, 28 and 31 Members gathered at Station 28 for mutual training. This week, members reviewed vehicle rescue for crash scenes. Station 28 provides Rescue services to most of Sadsbury township. 31 Crews arrived at Station 28 and the night was kicked off. Crews reviewed techniques along with the 6 goals of a rescue scene.
