John Harwood from Oxford England stopped at Station 28 on his bike on day 1006 of his around the world trip. He has been on the road for over 2 years and has quite a story to tell living in his tent and being on the last leg of his trek. John came to the door looking for a place to "pitch" his tent for the night and since we have had 2 feet of snow it was only firehouse like to offer this man a bit of hospitality and offer him a warm bed in our bunk room and plenty of Coffee and snacks. His stories of his trip were amazing as were the fact that we were "Volunteers" and we do this job cause we love it. We told him many stories of the volunteer fire service as he told us stories of the fire service at home. To follow Johns journey you can follow his blog at the link below. We wished John good luck on his final leg and told him to stop on future trips
